Tasting Notes

Our most ambitious and complex bottling of Sauvignon Blanc to date. Blended from 5 uniquely fermented barrels (roughly 18% new) and rested in the cellar for over a year, this cuvée was truly a labor of love…but what wonderful results!

This new Barrel Climber focuses on the most compelling aspects of Cuvée Renee and raises them to new heights…the texture even more lushly appointed and the exotic guava, pink grapefruit and fresh lime aromas and flavors deeper and more satisfying than ever. Do not, however, think this is a mere fruit salad! The additional dash of skin fermented juice and long rest in barrel has seductively rounded every fruity edge.

Call us crazy, but we’d stack this wine up against high-end white bordeaux and more than a few top-notch chardonnay…it is Sauvignon Blanc to be reckoned with and we humbly predict a glorious evolution over many years in the cellar.

With only 50 precious cases produced, we'll gladly drink anything left after release!
