2017 Sascha Marie Pinot Noir

2017 Sascha Marie

Pinot Noir

SONOMA COASTsonoma county

ALLOCATION LIST: $49.50
RETAIL: $55.00

Tasting Notes

Just like its namesake, Sascha Marie is an absolute charmer in 2017. Comprised almost entirely from Robert’s Road vineyard in the Petaluma Gap, the 2017 is already audaciously forward and delicious, absolutely bursting with red raspberry, black cherry and plum, orange rind and a tiny hint of black pepper.

While Robert’s Road provides us with our most muscular Sonoma Coast Pinot, it is after all still a cool-climate source bringing an underlying freshness and acid balance to the final wine. Always sappier and blacker-fruited than our nervier more delicate Freestone vineyards, Robert’s Road revels in boldness, depth and outright lovability. With a small inclusion of Grand Vent juice for its structure and earthy core, 2017 Sascha Marie satisfies both heart and mind in equal measure.
