2016 Sonoma Coast Rosé - SOLD OUT

2016 Sonoma Coast

Rosé

SONOMA COUNTY

ALLOCATION LIST: $19.80
RETAIL: $22.00

TASTING NOTES

More than any other wine we’ve made in the recent past, our Rosé has hit some kind of collective desire and we can barely keep it in stock for summer. We released 448 cases of the 2015 last year and were sold out in 10 weeks. Inspired by you all, we went to even greater lengths at the winery in 2016 and the results are better than ever. Before fermentations, we individually settled 13 separate lots of freshly-pressed juice and racked each off their gross lees to preserve higher-toned aromatics and what a knockout move that proved to be!

At 77%, Pinot Noir dominates the blend, but that leaves 23% room for Syrah and Grenache to complete our signature complex, layered, deeply-colored Rosé. No mere copper-colored afterthought, this is serious stuff, mouth-filling and eager to join you on a picnic, at the beach or at the dinner table.

For the last two years, we had lots of people emailing or calling in June wanting more of this wonderful pink stuff and we  had to apologize for being all out. So stock up now and be happy you did later!

Finally, since you read to the bottom of the notes, we’ll reward you with some inside info: After years of pleas from Hanna and John, Kent agreed to bottle some rosé magnums. Not many to go around and not a regular release item, so please contact John directly if you need BIG bottles and he’ll work his magic for you.
