2012 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

2012 Sonoma Coast

Chardonnay

SONOMA COUNTY

—  SOLD OUT —

TASTING NOTES

Sourced from three diverse sites within the appellation, our 2012 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay showcases the citrus side of the grape, balanced and food friendly, yet seductive in texture. With only 10% new oak, this is often our go-to dinner wine and makes its case on naturally derived, mineral-driven intensity straight from the vineyard.

The Old Wente and Dijon 95 clones from Yellow Rock Vineyard form the backbone of the blend, offering concentrated lemon curd and lime rind flavors as well as a rich and marvelous mouthfeel. Stiling Vineyard lends delicate floral notes and Black Emerald Vineyard provides great mid-palate and crisp green apple notes to complete the wine.

This selection is raised in primarily used (“neutral”) oak and allowed only partial malolactic fermentation to preserve clarity, freshness and racy acidity to balance the impressive richness.
