John has championed our wines since our 2004 releases and always offered tremendous support – as well as a trusted sounding board and a great sense of humor. We are honored and lucky to have him in the EK family.

John’s sole purpose is to take the very best care of our Allocation List members. That means handling your Spring and Fall release allocations, keeping everyone up to date on remaining inventory for re-orders and helping ensure that all of your shipments arrive at the right place and time.

We are convinced that John was the quintessential food and wine guy long before he was born. So with only partial permission, we’ll toot his horn a bit. After attending culinary school along with his wife Gina, John was one of the original opening chefs for the celebrated Girl and the Fig restaurant when it launched in Glen Ellen back in the late ‘90’s. John and Gina then went on to open Cin-Cin wine bar and restaurant in Calistoga before John moved on to wine exclusively at North Berkeley Wine. During his 6-year tenure there, John represented both foreign and domestic wines, with an emphasis on Burgundy. On top of all this, he’s down to earth, a genuine dog lover and all-around great guy. Could we all be any luckier?!
