Pinot Noir
RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY
Club Pre-Release: $28.00 |
Retail: $36.00
Tasting Notes: A kindred spirit to our wallet-friendly Spring Release Syrah from last year, the 2008 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is our first “appellation” Pinot and a wonderful house wine that delivers loads of drinking pleasure. Light ruby in color, with aromas of bing cherry, pomegranate, cranberry, rose petal, and a hint of toffee, the palate is pure pinot offering up cherry, raspberry, plum, cola nut, cinnamon and graham cracker. Medium bodied and fruit forward with gentle but present tannins, this is both light and hearty at the same time, allowing great flexibility in food pairing. Note: If you enjoyed our 2007 Windsor Oaks Pinot, this is the wine for you! The final blend consists of 93% Windsor Oaks, 4% Cleary and 3% Stiling Vineyard.
