Kerry MansfieldDuring the past several years San Francisco-based Photographer Kerry Mansfield has seen her artwork expand to a larger photographic audience. Kerry's career path began in Architecture and led her to create images centered on the use of space and structure. Her Borderline series is the culmination of seven years of work exploring the synergy between indoor and outdoor spaces. The process involves shooting and printing only one negative, while subsequently creating a distinctive sense of optical confusion. The viewer is confounded when one discovers there are no double exposures or digital manipulation of any kind. The “analog” quality of this project is essential to its creation. Recently her work has been featured in venues such as Fraction Magazine (Issue 8), PDN “Photo of the Day”, CENTER Juried Portfolio Review, Michael Mazzeo’s Inaugural Online Exhibition Show “Arbor” and as a finalist in several International competitions. |
