Kevin tells it like this: “I see symbolism in combinations such as the lock and key. The locks as barriers and the keys as solutions. Musical scores and instruments become an integral soundtrack that we need to stop and listen to. In my current series, using acquired objects placed in resin, the resin becomes a visible capsule for these stories, fixed in time, yet exposed for viewing and contemplation.” Kevin’s experience in woodworking as a teenager and his formal education as a sculptor reinforced his interest in creating three-dimensional works of art.
